Gloucester is a city located on the edge of the Cotswolds in the Southwest of England. There is much to see and do with its shops, Docks and Cathedral; it is a city that is both diverse in its people, culture and history.
Historically, Gloucester began with the Roman settlements in the late AD 40s. Spiritually, Gloucester is a hub for Christian beginnings. Starting with Bishop John Hooper, who during the reign of Bloody Queen Mary was martyred for his role in the English Reformation of 1555. It is also the birthplace of William Tyndale, who translated the Holy Bible into English. Furthermore, Robert Raikes was also born in the centre of Gloucester where he went on to become the founder and creator of 'Sunday School' which began on the streets of Gloucester amongst the poor. Finally, Gloucester was the birthplace of George Whitfield, the world famous evangelist, whose ministry began on the streets of Gloucester before he left to preach on the other side of the pond in the 'new' American colonies.
As for new beginnings, we are excited to offer you the chance to become a part of Gloucester's spiritual heritage as we pioneer the Autumn/Winter 2019 Lauch! DTS. The question is though...are you up for the challenge?
2019 DTS
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT
The Discipleship Training School (DTS) is a seventeen week programme with a focus on discipleship and mission. During this time you will grow in your relationship with Christ and with people.
The DTS is created to help you understand God more deeply and to equip you with the necessary skills to become effective in evangelism, to live more like Jesus and identify your purpose; a place where you can purse your passions and gifts to build His Kingdom.

As students you will live at the TRAC campus, study, worship, pray and work together in community. During the lecture phase of the DTS you will engage in the following program of study:

The life and ministry of Jesus the Messiah

The book of Romans
-
The book of Galatians
-
The book of Revelation
-
The Eight Covenants of the Bible
-
The Seven Dispensations of God

As for the outreach part of the course you will be working alongside a local church in anareas such as, but not exclusively:

Street evangelism
-
Social media and marketing
-
Film making and editing
-
Schools/Youth work
-
Preaching school
-
Worship

TRAC
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT
TRAC is an Adventure Centre set in the beautiful surroundings of the Forest of Dean. The centre is built upon 22 acres of farm land.

Hello! A little about me... I became a Christian when I was 15 years old after a missions team from Canada came into my school assembly. I spent time doing a DTS myself in Scotland and loved every minute of it. I am a secondary school teacher. Really excited about what God is going to do this year.
